01
The problem
Useful prompts are often scattered across chat histories and notes. Finding the right version takes time, while repeated copying gradually creates inconsistent duplicates.
02
Product approach
I treated prompts as reusable working assets rather than temporary messages, combining folders, search and quick insertion in a compact browser interface.
03
Key product decisions
01
Library, not archive
The interface prioritizes prompts users intend to reuse, keeping retrieval faster than browsing old conversations.
02
Organization stays lightweight
Folders and search provide structure without turning prompt capture into a form-filling task.
03
Close to the workflow
Quick copy and insertion reduce the distance between finding a prompt and using it.
04
From need to launch
01
Collect
Reviewed how prompts became fragmented across AI chats, documents and temporary notes.
02
Organize
Designed a focused library model around folders, search and reusable prompt records.
03
Ship
Added bilingual UI, local-first storage and fast actions before publishing the extension.
05
What I learned
AI productivity is often improved by better information management, not another generation feature. Retrieval speed and a clear personal structure made the tool valuable.
